Save Our Streets (SOS) Montgomery, is a Community Violence Intervention (CVI) program dedicated to reducing gun violence through prevention, intervention, and strong community partnerships. Rather than responding after violence occurs, SOS works to prevent shootings before they happen by engaging individuals at the highest risk of violence and connecting them to life-changing opportunities. Our Violence Intervention Specialists, trained by Live Free, use nationally recognized, evidence-based practices to mediate conflicts, de-escalate violence, respond to hospital referrals, and connect participants to employment, education, behavioral health, and family support services.
